Rosenbauer International AG
Rosenbauer was founded in 1866 by Johann Rosenbauer as a $quot;Trading company for fire service equipment$quot; in Linz, Austria. In the first decade of the 20th century, the company began producing fire service pumps and in 1919 it took on the production of fire-fighting vehicles.
For decades, Rosenbauer has had a distinctly international orientation. In the 1920s the company was already exporting its products as far as China. In 1976, export sales accounted for over 50% of the company´s entire turnover. Today Rosenbauer is the second largest manufacturer of fire-fighting vehicles in the world. With a wide range of municipal fire engines and aerial rescue equipment that comply with both European and US standards, its extensive series of airport and industrial fire-fighting vehicles, and the most modern fire-fighting systems and fire service-specific equipment, Rosenbauer is the most comprehensive supplier in the industry.
Rosenbauer is the international Group with the most sales in the mobile fire-fighting and disaster protection sector. With a worldwide sales and customer service network, Rosenbauer has a constant presence in over 100 countries.
